Class Structure

This class is 1 to 1.5 hours long. In a typical class you can expect 3 parts

1. Wrestling Warm Up

Warm-up with wrestling agility and conditioning drills, calisthenics, and “gymnastics”

2.  Wrestling Technique

Receive instruction and drill to develop wrestling fundamentals

3. Strength and Conditioning

Learn routines to build wrestling specific strength and conditioning

Coaching

We limit class size to 25 athletes.

This class is led by Head Coach and 3x Olympian Damir Zakhartdinov who works with each athlete to develop basic wrestling fitness and wrestling technique fundamentals.

Coach Damir is often supported by our Club Director, Coach Andrew. This helps make sure each athlete receives personal instruction.

What You Should Bring

The beauty of wrestling is that it requires little that you can’t find within yourself. That said, you’ll want to bring a few things with you to practice.

1. Comfortable clothes

Bring a t-shirt, socks, and either soft shorts or sweatpants. Bring a second t-shirt to wear home. You don’t want to travel in a shirt soaked in sweat.

2. Bottle of water

You will sweat and want to stay hydrated.

3. Training Shoes

Don’t wear your ever-day sneakers to practice. You’ll end up with wear and tear injuries. Bring a pair of training shoes with traction for the grass that will support you during runs and foot work drills.

Class Schedule

This class meets July 1 – 31.

Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays

9:00 AM to 10:00 AM

In case of rain or heavy winds, the class will be rescheduled to the next clear morning
