After a 21 year international career, including 3 Olympic Games, 4th in 2000 and a bronze medal at the 1999 World Championships, Damir Zakhartdinov came to the United States to share his joy of wrestling.
In the last 20 years, Damir has coached many state champions, All-Americans, and successful international competitors.

He’s also parent to two Willpower wrestlers, one boy and one girl.

Yuri Valenksi is a legend.
Master of Sports of the USSR ( Greco Roman & Classic style). Honored trainer of the USSR and Ukraine. Coached 2x Olympic champion Alexander Kolchinskii. (Montreal 1976 and Moscow 1980), among many other champions here in the U.S. and abroad, including Valentin Kalinka, former head coach for the U.S. Women’s Olympic Team.
It is an honor to train with Coach Yuri. He coaches the Willpower Wrestling 6 and Under Program and the High School/Young Adults Program.
